Frequently Asked Questions
How long do the wine tours take? Around 6-8 hours, depending on distance between wineries we visit. We are flexible - regardless of how far your pick-up/drop-off destination is, we want you to have between 1 and 1.5 hours at each winery. If you need to be home by a certain, just let us know at the time of booking. We can create an itinerary that meets your needs.
How long will we be at each winery? 1 to 1.5 hour. We try to get to the first winery at 12pm and leave the last winery at 5pm.
Is there an age requirement? 21 to drink, any age can tag along
Can we drink in the van? Non-alcoholic beverages are permitted, while alcoholic beverages are not allowed. Beverages must be in a closed container (North Georgia Wine Tours tumblers are available but must be ordered in advance). Open container tickets are given to the individual, not the company or driver of the van, as stated in O.C.G.A. §40-6-253.
Can we bring a cooler? Yes! Only coolers with ice packs will be allowed on the van. No regular ice allowed is allowed. If you have a large group, there will be limited space on the van for coolers.
Can we bring food? Some snacks are allowed on the van. We just do not want any messy foods. If you have a question about a specific snack you would like to bring, feel free to ask us. If you have a large group, there will be limited space on the van for snacks.
What kind of gratuity should I give my driver? If you received great service and enjoyed your time with North Georgia Wine Tours, we ask that you tip your driver 15-20%.
How do we book our tour? Email us at josh@northgawinetours.com. Please include dates you are interested, group size, and where pick-up and drop off would be. If you’re celebrating something special, let us know that as well!
Do we need to have a printed ticket? Nope! If the person who organized it said you’re coming, then you’re good to go!
What is your cancellation policy? We offer cancellation insurance that will refund 100% of your wine tour (minus the invoicing fee charged by Square) if you provide written notice up to 48 hours before your scheduled pick-up time (please refer to itinerary).

Cancellation Insurance Pricing: $150
Without cancellation insurance, refunds will not be issued.
Cancellation Insurance is nonrefundable.
Do you offer smaller Private Tours? Yes! Please give us a call at 706-725-0049 to discuss Private Tour options and pricing. Pricing will be available online soon.
Do you pick up outside of the immediate surrounding area? Yes, for an additional fee! Please give us a call at 706-725-0049 to discuss your location and rates. We are also willing to travel to Atlanta and the surrounding areas for pickups/drop offs! Planning takes a little longer for pickups/drop offs further away, so let us know ASAP!
How many people can be in the tour group? We can accommodate up to 14 people on a tour. If multiple vans are available, we can support groups of up to 28. Please note, 2 vans doubles the cost.
Do you provide lunch? There are numerous ways to work lunch into the tours and we make sure that at least 1 stop in the tour has lunch options. Examples include the restaurant at Wolf Mountain Vineyards, Montaluce, Dahlonega Resort and Vineyards, or lunch provided by Natalie Jane Catering!
